Dressed in an LBD for the SAG Awards, Tina Fey took home the award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a comedy series, and deservedly so.
"I want to thank anyone in the
Screen Actors Guild for considering me an actor at all," Fey, who is
also a screenwriter, quipped upon accepting her award. "I want to thank
everyone in SAG for being so supportive of the Writers Guild of
America."
Backstage, Fey said the writers strike leaves “30 Rock” at risk since
the show is a critical success but not necessarily a huge hit with
viewers.
“We are exactly the kind of show that’s put in jeopardy by the strike,” Fey said.
I guess between the Writer's Strike and the death of Heath Ledger, there was a bit of a cloud looming in everyone's hearts for this event.
