Madonna must think we are a bunch of idiots. She's aiming to boost hubby Guy Ritchie's movie, "Revolver."
The pop washup has decided to kick things off with a party, and she's invited Howard Stern, Lauren Bacall, Helena Christensen, Patricia Clarkson and Ivanka Trump. If she invited anyone less interesting, they would be dead people.
A pal says the flick was marketed to British audiences as a comedic
romp similar to Ritchie’s “Snatch” - but it left them confused by its
more “cerebral” theme. (Or “pretentious style and fractured
storytelling,” as The Hollywood Reporter sniffed.) The movie was also slammed by critics in the UK.
“You have to pay attention — you may have to sit through it twice to figure it out,” co-star Vincent Pastore (who plays opposite Ray Liotta, Jason Statham and Andre Benjamin) told me yesterday. “Which I just did with ‘No Country for Old Men,’ so it doesn’t mean it’s a bad movie.”
I'm sorry, WHAT? You have to sit through a crapass movie TWICE to "get it?" Yeah okay Madonna, and I'll rush right out and buy two copies of that Britney Spears album and stab myself in not one, but both ears. You can promote a bag of flaming poop all you want sweetheart, but at the end of the day, it's still a bag of flaming poop. Just look at Britney.
