Red Hot Chili Pepper frontman Anthony Kiedis and his girlfriend Heather Christie had their son, born October 2, 2007, in Los Angeles. They named the baby Everly Bear. Here is the story behind the name:
According to People, Kiedis says, "We had a long list of names, but I suppose it came to me by way of the
Everly Brothers, which is one of my favorite bands, and sometimes last names make good first names."
Kiedis credits his girlfriend with the rest. "The mama
came up with Bear, that made sense to me because he's
from me and I feel like I'm part of the bear clan, and I think it's
nice to have a little bit of earth in your name."
"Being a father is different, it's much different,"
Kiedis says. "I sleep when I can, but he's letting me off pretty easy
so far. He's a very calm and peaceful kid."
It's hard to imagine anything Kiedis being calm, what with the blood, sex, sugar an magic in the veins, must be the mother's milk. Yes, I went there.

I wonder what Everly Bear will be for Halloween, maybe something from a naruto clan, or Pooh Bear. That would be cool.
