David Caruso: Raising The Style Bar For Dads Everywhere
David, dude: get some self-tanner, and do something about that unsightly bulge protruding from your right thigh. Also, lose the purse.
Please. You’re scaring the children.

I have a slightly embarrassing attraction to his character on CSI Miami, but I agree his outfit is pretty bad. Maybe he just needs the wardrobe people from the show who dress Horatio so well to help him out in real life.
I am constantly amazed by the things people will find offensive. I am pretty pale myself and it would have never occurred to me to be offended – it’s funny. With all the real issues in the world, worrying about someone mocking pale legs is a little silly.
A stylist would be a very good idea indeed. He looks terrible.
you really can’t let anyone else have the last word? who’s yer BFF, the computer?
Fact is he has ugly white hairy legs and should not wear shorts. I know a good stylist who could help Caruso out of his (fashion)-misery…
last word…reading your posts certainly does not educate.
poor kid…thanks for the laugh…..
This is a fun blog . It has nothing to do with skin-color or whatsoever. There will be always people who blow things out of proportion just to give themselves some sense of self-importance. Who freaking cares about one or two comments about UGLY WHITE LEGS??? It is no big deal. My values or whatver may suck to you for ME (and I think that is all that matters) they are perfectly okay. The whole discussion is ridicilous.
RE your remark about reading comprehension: honey, do you really know which blog you are on?? This is entertaining satire. People have fun here. Look closely and you’ll find out – YOU KNOW READING EDUCATES; right?????
And Caruso’s legs are really ugly – so sue me!
Why has this gone on so long? Why are so many of you defending tacky comments about this guy’s pale skin?
3rd Anon: The original post was about skin color, as well as many of the replies (anyone remember that section on standardized tests called ‘reading comprehension’?). You think fair people shouldn’t wear shorts? Are you for real? My fair-skinned 11 year old step daughter won’t wear shorts on the most scorching days. And she won’t go swimming. My mother had skin cancer twice because she is fair and tried to tan in her teens and 20s.
This might be a joke to you, but this is a real problem. Making fun of clothes is one thing, but where do you draw the line at making fun of physical characteristics that can’t be changed? Today, fair skin. Tomorrow, dark-skin, mixed-skin, wide-nose, big-nose, cyrano-nose, small-boobs, big-boobs, big-butts, no-butts, long-legs, short-legs. You might be a perfect specimen in your book, but allow for some human variety, why don’t you.
This has nothing to do with Caruso. Who cares about him. I don’t think he cares what you are all saying about him. This has to do with the values you carry around with yourselves. And those values are superficial. They suck.
Nobody made a comment about the skin-clour. The whole discussion is ridiculous. DVMMOM seems to be ust a little Caruso-fan girl who can’t stand it when somebody makes fun of David Caruso: Just look at the man. He is a walking, talking joke.
I am glad that I don’t know you either – it would just spoil all the fun.
I agree with the above post – if a guy has ugly Albino legs like caruso one shouldn’t wear tacky shorts and tacky flip-flops. Urgh
.
Anonymous: I think dvmmom made herself quite clear. But then someone who doesn’t know “too” from “two” might not comprehend….the comments about the clothing are not objectionable. The comments about his skin color are. If you truly think ridiculing someone’s skin color is perfectly normal, then i am quite glad not to know you.
Off camera Caruso shows an alarmingly lack of style. Not only does he scare the kids on the playground with this tacky outfit I guess the kiddo will turn his head in shame should he come across this pic in a few years from now on. I know I would
What exactly is your problem???? Fact is Caruso looks like a hobo on this pics. Again, I have seen fathers spend a day with their kids that have been dressed a bit better. Sorry, but caruso should know by now when he goes out side he will most likely be fotographed. And we all know that he likes to be in the middle of attention. So, what harm would it do if he would wear a nice shirt and a nice pair of jeans for a change???
Sorry, but you can’t walk around like that and expect from people NOT to make a comment or too about his ridiculous dress style.
I think it is perfectly normal. But there are always people who like to blow things out of proportion.
herBADmother:
oh, yes, yes, you’re right. i used the word racism incorrectly. racism is the belief that certain groups of people are superior to others, and those groups of people are identified largely on visible characteristics, such as skin color. clearly, your post is not racist, how silly of me. you just think white skin is ugly and unacceptable in public. but i guess it’s ok to be pale so long as you don’t let people see your pale skin? like a pale person in pants is ok? yeah, i see your point, why should the general public have to know pale folk exist? on hot days, we should just stay inside. while swimming, wetsuits are required. let’s teach our pale children how unacceptable they are. the comments listed below are slung at pale people by strangers while out in the world. but clearly there is no problem, because it’s WHITE skin we’re discussing…these sorts of opinions would never be applied to other colors of skin, clearly, because THAT would be unacceptable. in this world we only ridicule one type of skin, right? of course, there’s no bigger picture here. how silly of me to think we should be tolerant of all skin colors. how silly of me to think that people shouldn’t have to dye or bleach their skin to suit your particular definition of beauty. you are right to defend yourself. kudos.
“OMG what is that white glare burning holes in my retinas?”
“If I wwould have legs like that I NEVER EVER woudl wear shorts”
“Those ugly white legs? Give me a pair of shades”
“tell him to never ever wear shorts again. My eyes are hurting!”
“Blinded by ultra white legs! Please, do not wear shorts again in public. This sight has maimed me for life!”
see? perfectly acceptable! yippee! give props to herBADmother.
Careful! Blinded by ultra white legs! Please, do not wear shorts again in public. This sight has maimed me for life!
jeeze, you guys. who cares if he has super-fair skin? he’s a red-head for heaven’s sake – they always have fair, fair skin. he’s awesome, i love him, and the toddler is beautiful!
Caruso definitely is a celeb in a need of a makeover. Give that guy a decent wardrobe and tell him to never ever wear shorts again. My eyes are hurting!
Those ugly white legs? Give me a pair of shades. I don’t know, until now I have only seen fairly stylish dressed dads-out-with-their-kids. But the clothes that Caruso wears are PLAIN UGLY. No man should wear flip-flops. Unsightly.
Looks like a typical dad out with his kid to me. Speaking as a fair complected, blue-eyed individual, I agree with dvmmom. Why should we slather on chemicals to come out orange to satisfy someone else’s notion of the “proper” skin color. I don’t tan and I have no urge to go out and turn into a crispy critter to satisfy some insensitive stranger or worse someone who is so obviously biased as Vixen that I can only assume she has a personal grudge against him. Tell us, Vixen, if his morals are as bad as you say, are you the only woman (and I use the term loosely) that he turned down on the planet? Is that why you devote so much time to cutting him down?
If I wwould have legs like that I NEVER EVER woudl wear shorts. And so hairy!!!!
I’m blind! OMG what is that white glare burning holes in my retinas? Oh… it’s just Caruso’s pins. Phew… for a minute I thought it was the Lord calling me back to the flock.
DVM-Mom: if that qualifies as racism then ‘racism’ has lost all meaning. ‘Race’ is not simply skin pigmentation. Otherwise, Victoria Beckham could claim minority status on the basis of being over-spray-tanned, Orange-Americans being obvious targets of attacks on the basis of colour.
Plain ugly. But then Caruso never has been overly attractive.
…and those hairly legs…..aaarghhh!!! Dude this is LA ‘where people are supposed to by STYLISH
Great blog. He looks ugly as hell. But then off camera he never shows style at all. While being married to wife nr 3 he dressed a lot better. Now he dresses like a hobo. And those
as a person who is paler-than-flourescent myself, i have to object to your skin-color ridicule. do you poke fun at blacks, asians or hispanics for their skin tone? then why do it to a caucasian? personally, no matter how much time i spend in the sun, i DO NOT tan. so why should i have to cover myself with orange chemicals to appease you? ridiculous. ever heard of skin cancer? you should be admiring him for resisting the urge to kill himself melanoma-style in the name of fashion. please. YOU’RE scaring this mommy. i know this is a humorous blog and all, but aren’t racist jokes (and yes, that is racist) SO last century?
