  I love the idea of a personalized plate as a special gift for a child (particularly one with an unusual name), but so often the choices are so over-the-top cutesy I cannot imagine anyone over the age of five finding them attractive.   Oh the dilemma that will ensue if you purchase these Thomas Paul aviary plates. Will let your kids get these gorgeous plates dirty by actually using them for their intended purpose?
