• The Floor Nanny from 2 Moms LLC

  I want to like this product. I do. The floor nanny is mom-designed and sounds like such a logical thing; it's a little pillow-nest where a pre-mobile baby can lounge, a beginning-to-sit-up baby can wobble without danger of smacking her head (unless she works her way to the edge, I suppose), and a mobile baby can chill out and relax. It has handles for easy toting and comes in a variety of cute fabrics.  On the other hand, it'll cost you $71.55 at Amazon, and I'm thinking a dog bed would be a lot cheaper and serve the same purpose. • Sweet Dreams with a My Bambino Tooth Fairy Pillow

  I'm still having nightmares from this monstrosity, so I had to smile when I spotted these cheerful gingham tooth fairy pillows over at My Bambino. They're cute enough as it is, really, with the tooth itself doubling as the pocket for those offerings to the tooth fairy, but you can also have them personalized for that extra-special touch. True, they're $19.99, but at least they don't scare the bejeezus out of me like those other ones. • Spit Up: PetuniaPetunia Tooth Fairy Pillow

  I guess I'm alone in my thinking, because according to their site, this tooth fairy pillow from PetuniaPetunia has been featured on both MSNBC and CBS as being fantabulous and loved. And, sure, it's hand-knit and the price isn't bad ($12). But the first thing I thought when I looked at them was that the tooth was bleeding. (Tasty!) The second thing I thought of was the uncanny facial resemblance to a blow-up doll. Yeah. • The Babble Review: Nesting Pillow by Blessed Nest

  Having never been thrilled with the look or performance of my borrowed Boppy or My Breast Friend, I was thrilled to come across this Nesting Pillow ($79) by Blessed Nest. While its price is nearly double that of the competition, being comfortable while nursing seems invaluable after the sore neck, arms and back I experienced the first time around. This crescent-shaped nursing pillow is available in thirteen beautiful, washable cotton fabrics (check out the Partridge and Lark) and is filled with organic buckwheat hulls. The hulls give it a decidedly different feel — my favorite attribute is that the hulls are more breathable than a polyfiber-filled pillow and therefore stay cooler. And since the stuffing is made up of little particles instead of one solid blob, I was able to redistribute the hulls to one end of the pillow to create a high side and low side.
