  A great idea in concept, crib soothers can be a nightmare, figuratively speaking, when you get 'em out of the box. They never seem to fit actual crib rails as seamlessly as they do in commercials, and their motors and music can be so loud and tinny that they wind up being anything but soothing for babies. The Lamaze Dream Screen ($39.99 at Amazon.com) promises to remedy at least one of those issues, with an MP3 input that allows you to customize your own sleepytime mix for continuous play.
