  My daughter's favorite teethers are the plastic, water filled ones that you put in the refrigerator. Even now that she's not teething, she still likes to play with them and chew on them. I've even started as using them as a distraction toy when I'm feeding her because they are so easy to clean and they are such great distractions.   I've heard horror stories of people buying multiple pacifiers only to have their baby spit it right back out (if the pacifier even got that far). We got lucky with our first pacifier set (a gift from a lovely aunt), which also happens to be non-plastic--thus BPA free--and organic.
