• First Look: Dwellbaby Fall/Winter Line

  Last week, I had the privilege of getting a first look at the upcoming fall/winter line from Dwellbaby and Dwell Kids. Dwell is known for its distinctive nursery designs, which manage to be both sophisticated and kid-friendly. Our favorite new pattern is the Gio Aqua, which pairs an unconventional assortment of animals (squirrels, swans, snails, hippos) with geometric shapes in vivid shades of blue and brown. • Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowgirls

  I am a bona fide lover of the well-done western theme. I'm not talking fringe jackets and white hats with rhinestones, mind you (though spurs get a pass) but the kid-cowboy-retro thing is super cute. That's why this Cowgirl Rose Cribset from Dwellbaby ($384) makes for a great baby room. Get a load of the pink guitar-strumming silhouette, the stars, horseshoes, and spades, and even the cactus. Damn, I love that cactus. Does it get any sweeter? Now all you have to do is buy a crickets-and-harmonica CD and a diaper pail/spittoon, and your girl is sure to spend her future years roping cattle and speaking in a nice drawl.
