• Baby Blanket Perfect for Easter

  The folks over at Two Blue Peas have pulled together a nice little product list for Easter (it's early this year--start preparing now) and there's nary a ruffly dress in site. Given my current fetishization over all things baby, my favorite is the pink bunny blanket by Angel Dear ($25). It's the bunny head, of course, that makes it special. But the super soft blanket doesn't hurt either. • Area's Alma Baby Blanket Isn't Babyish

  Swedish designer Anki Spets makes beautiful home textiles from natural fibers that have simple pattterns and details, yet aren't too matchy-matchy. They're stylish and modern, but they're not trying too hard. (And luckily for me, her NYC-based company, Area, happens to have excellent sample sales.) My favorite blanket of hers is the super-soft, ultra-warm Alma -- a cozy confection of pure cotton. Now Alma comes in a baby-size ( 30"x40") and 8 lovely colors, from pale pink sorbet to a rich chocolate brown. My kids wrap themselves in their blankets and curl up in front of the TV -- to watch educational programs, of course. At $55, it makes an incredible baby gift that keeps on giving. • Hand Made: Patchwork Baby Quilt

  I love quilts.  My children have all had their own quilts as babies, most hand made by friends with far more talent than I have.  The colors and fabrics chosen for this quilt give it a vintage feel. • Droolworthy: Skivvydoodles ArtWalk Blanket Sets

  Just when I think I've found the ArtWalk pattern I love the best, I look at the next one and become smitten all over again. Where were these when my kids were babies?? This little division of Skivvydoodles makes hand-loomed, all-cotton blankets and coordinating sweater sets almost too pretty to use. Good luck trying to choose to just one; if you want to try, there's an impressive selection at Fitsyou. Dogs & Cats and Hey Little Diddle are shown above. • The Babble Review: BabySoy Organic Baby Clothes

  Working at a baby magazine, I see a lot of great new products. Swank stuff. Silk slings. Quinny strollers. Crazy stuff comes through these doors. I'm not very gear-heady, so I'm usually happy to hand them off to our reviewers and make do with my hand-me-downs. But this Baby Soy stuff I snatched up. My son wore the Kimono Onepiece ($22) until several weeks after he outgrew it. He'll be spending the fall in the Year Round Reversible Hoodie (tea/chocolate; $28). And he sleeps with the Signature Soft Blanket ($18). I'm not even opposed to poly-blend whatever, so it's not like I have anything invested in soybean-protein-fiber ("vegetable cashmere"). These clothes are just so crazy soft. And the extra internal snap on the kimono is pure genius. • Hand-Made: At Least the Personalized Snookie Has Rickrack
