  Did you know that Colorforms launched in 1951? It's true. (Also, this just in: We are old. Film at 11.) I remember various character sets being hot back in the 70s when I was into them, but this right here is a replica of the very first set. • Rock the Retro: Holiday Overalls For Your Baby Boy

  Madras plaid should only be worn on babies and golfers.  On second thought scratch that, only babies.  The vintage style overalls look like the outfits my husband wore in all of his baby photos, with white knee socks and white shoes.  While I don't think you need the socks and shoes, this would look precious on a baby boy for Christmas photos.  And think of the leverage you would have with that photo during his teen years. • Rock the Retro: Wild Thing Jumping Jack

  You remember jumping jacks, of course, although personally I don't ever remember calling them that. They were just those funny jumpy toys where you pull the cord and their limbs go up and down. With this one from Ceci's Wooden Treasures ($26.50) you can be nostalgic two ways: First, this is the sort of wooden toy that was ubiquitous back when we were little, and second, this one features a Wild Thing from Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are.   This looks like something I would have worn to school as a child.  The orange, the browns, the mustard yellow, just add a macrame craft to complete the look.  It would be so cute over a long sleeved tee and some jeans.
