Lacing cards
are "not exactly craft," you're thinking? True, but crafts are not
always as easy as people make them sound. Otherwise, we'd all be
sitting on our hand-whittled rocking chairs knitting Icelandic
sweaters. Craft has to start somewhere, so why not get your kids
started on stitching early? This way, even if they don't learn more
advanced crafts, such as Ukranian egg decorating, they'll at least know how to sew a button back on a shirt.
And they'll be ready for the next step -- the classic 70's craft kit....
