I find the confusion of the term ‘mummy’ (as in a bandaged and wrapped corpse ) and ‘mummy’ (as in mommy, mother, momma) totally amusing. My daughter can not comprehend why a Mummy is called a mummy. She knows that ‘Mummy’ is a highfalutin term for mother, but has yet to grasp the whole idea that the same word can be used for very different things. To add to the confusion, I should totally get her a big and small Mummy dolls from Inhabitshop.com. These handmade cotton plush toys, when presented in a pair like above, totally look like it could be a mother and child. So it would be a Mummy mummy! Yeah, that oughta keep her busy for a wheel. You can pick up one of these adorable dolls her for $48 (Canadian) for the small and $59 (Canadian) for the big one here.
