And Now, the Ikea Spoling Changing Table

Posted by Heather Kuldell

Last week, we featured Ikea’s new folding high chair, so this week we’re bring you another part of the megastore’s new baby offerings. The Spoling Changing Table offers a foldable, stashable option for just a little dough, $69.99.

I confess: I never had a changing table during the diaper years. I figured that almost any surface was suitable for changing once I threw a pad down. But looking back, it might have been nice — and gentler on my back and knees — if I had one waist-height option at home. I just didn’t want to commit to another piece of furniture. The Spoling Changing Table stands at 37 inches, which might be a little tall for folks of non-Swedish origins, but still a decent wiping height. The washable fabric top features lots of pockets to stash wipes, diapers and all the necessary bum accoutrements, plus a storage bag beneath. And a reminder: Never leave the baby unattended on any changing table, foldable or not.

Cute!  Course I don't use any changing table, just have a corner of the living room with a changing pad thrown down.  :-)  That looks like it would be nice for an apartment though.  I like!

And I LOVE the storage.  I want one.
