OK. I promised in my earlier post a crazy thing I saw at CES on my first day, and this is it - the Cat Genie - the "world's only self-flushing, self-washing cat box." I know. It's gross. But damn if that thing didn't work as advertised.
I'm not a cat lover (or even an animal lover by any means) so I was kind of thrown off by this, but if you've got kids and cats in the house, this is something you might want to check out. The way it works is, you set it to clean up after your cat on a schedule you want, and when it's time the thing automatically scoops, liquefies and flushes away the cat "waste." Then it washes and dries the cat litter itself, so kitty will have a nice dry place to go next time.
Again, I know. It's gross. But I have to say, if you:
1. Love your cat and
2. Hate the cat litter with a passion and
3. Hate having to keep buying cat litter and
4. Have an extra $300 kicking around
then you should probably order one immediately.
Check it out at CatGenie.com.
