Old School: Classic Telephone Pull Toy

Posted by AmandaHill

This is Fisher-Price's Classic Pull Toy, the Chatter Telephone.  When I was a kid, I used to cart this thing around everywhere I went. By the time I was finished with it and ready to pass it down to my little brother, the paint on the eyeballs had worn off and one of the wheels was missing. In the end, it was quite durable and would be great to have around for your little chatterbox. If you're looking for a classic toy that brings it back to basics, this is a great one. It has managed to keep tiny hands busy since 1962. You can find a great deal for one online

Yes, we had that, but with a much longer cord. :-)  I wonder if kids nowadays even recognize what it is!

I used to have one.  Imagine my surprise when a few years back, with a 5 month old baby, I rolled up at a playgroup and found it was to be a favourite toy of his.  Don't think, even now at 4 years old, he'd have any clue what t actually was though.

I had one! And recently I found a new one and bought it for my youngest. He likes to pull it around, but he doesn't have a clue what it is.

Unlike the old portable transistor radio, which he thinks is a mobile phone :-)
