Tilty Cup Gets a Chemically Conscious Redesign

Posted by Aaron Burgess

The Tilty Cup, an ergonomically sound trainer that helps to ease toddlers' transition from the bottle, didn't need much in the way of functional improvements for its latest version: The angled wedge inside the cup still keeps liquids flowing without forcing kids to tilt their heads, and the cup's snap-on, valve-free lid is still designed to promote dental development.

Compositionally, however, Tilty Cup 2.0 has kids' inner safety in mind. The new cups feature no BPA, PVC, phthalates or cadmium (a known carcinogen often found in colored dyes), and by 2009, the company says it will be dying all colored versions of the Tilty Cup with a kid-safe organic pigment.

$6 for a 7-ounce 2-pack at the Tilty Cup Store.
