In this wonderful book by Matthew Van Fleet, pulling tails is perfectly acceptable. Catchy rhyming verse, interesting materials, beautiful illustrations and superior craftsmanship make this a "must-have" for every household.  Unlike other touch-and-feel books, this one can withstand normal use by a toddler. In fact, we've had this book for about two years and it's still one of our very favorites. Makes a wonderful gift too!

My toddler did enjoy this book, and did indeed pull the tails. Every tail. She set out to pull off every tail in the entire book and managed to rip out every one that could be detached. She still likes the book, though, now that she got rid of all those pesky tails.
