I may not be homeless, but I am a bag lady. Clutches, handbags and a flirty purses were my poison before the birth of my daughter. All those smaller (read=unpractical) carryalls have since been shoved to the back of the closet. My new fetish? Diaper Bags.
I got the opportunity to test drive one of the most stunning and also practical diaper bags in the “stylish mom” category – The Anna Diaper Bag by Pinnington Bags. This gorgeous handmade number is made from a silk damask and has a sturdy wool base. Their line includes a bevy of brocades, gorgeous damasks and other luxurious fabrics and rich, subtle and dare I say, romantic hues.
The bag is lined with a colorful laminated thick fabric for easy clean up. A baby bottle, a sippy cup and a diaper could explode in there all at once and after a little clean up, it would be as good as new.
The size of the bag is perfect, I was able to carry all my baby necessities as well as a couple of favorite books, a change of clothes and all my own personal tidbits. And it comes with a laminated cushioned changing pad that matches the lining.
The thick strap is a perfect length for those of us who like to carry a bag slung across the body, something I haven’t been able to do with my other diaper bags. This makes for some great weight distribution, especially when you’re lugging around a ever growing baby/toddler/kid. There are five roomy interior pockets which makes for some super easy organization and two subtle bottle/sippy pockets on either side.
Best of all, when you are done lugging around diapers and changing pads, the Pinnington bags can transition into a fabulous carryall for every day use. It doesn’t scream diaper bag, just style. Now that’s my kind of bag.
You can get one like the one pictured above for $330 here.
