Babble Review: FarmBaby Nursery Spray

Modern parents don’t want their nursery to look like the nursery of yore (bright primary colors accented with plastic bits), and they certainly don’t want their nursery to smell like one either.  FarmBaby has come up with a simple solution to the smelling issue–you’ll have to decorate on your own–in its lavender nursery spray ($5.95 or $8.95).

Why lavender? The scent of lavender is known to calm, but it also has sanitizing properties, making this spay do double duty. In testing the concoction of water, polysorbate 20, and lavender essential oil around our nursery, I found the scent to be pleasant but not cloying. A far cry from commercial, chemical scents that often have me thinking I’ve stepped into a faux field of roses after ingesting some back-alley scent stimulants. Nope, this scent is just good clean lavender fun, and I’ve been happily spritzing the changing table and crib sheets all week long. An additional selling point is that FarmBaby is made in small batches in New Hampshire.
