7 Days of Summerwear: Daily Tea is Our Garanimals

Posted by elizabeth leach

Tea's collection of clothing, adeptly named "Daily Tea", is today's version of Garanimals. For those of you who missed the seventies, Garanimals were clothing that mix and matched so kids could learn to dress themselves. Tea's line of play clothes is sophisticated and stylish and nothing like Garanimals.

With the superb quality that we expect from Tea, Daily Tea is made from 100% cotton and holds up to playing in the sand, sitting on the grass, or just crawling around the house. Choose from a variety of sundresses, skirts, leggings, tank tops, t-shirts, polos, shorts, and rompers. Machine washable and for ages three months to five years.

(Actually, Garanimals still exists and is sold at Walmart. I didn't know that until Googling it just now. Fascinating.)

All photos are of Daily Tea clothing, not of Garanimals.

Garanimals has this annoying commercial with kids talking about how they can dress themselves. Kids - cute; way the commercial is done - annoying. I actually thought Garanimals was relatively new, not from the 70's. Mom never talked about me wearing those, so I didn't know.

I love the Daily Tea line. The quality is awesome.

And Garanimals, well, it's the kind of quality that you would expect from Walmart. My daughter received some Garanimals clothing as a gift and the cotton was scratchy and the design  - not so cute.
