Nothing says summer like Slip 'N Slide and this summer is the 60th anniversary of Wham-O, maker of such childhood toys as the Frisbee and Hula-Hoop. Non-New Yorkers may be surprised to know that Slip 'N Slide is a major "adult" passtime in that oh-so-hip Brooklyn neighborhood known as Williamsburg. What I'm saying is that Slip 'N Slide isn't just for kids (despite that ages 5 to 12 nonsense). And apparently since I was a kid, Slip 'N Slide has done some innovating.
There's a lot more to the water-propelled slide, namely, the addition of a large water-propelled shark head ($39.99) that chomps up and down as kids/adults come sailing across the slide. Makes me wish this 70-degree weather was 90-degree weather.
