I do a lot of online shopping; you try browsing through Target with a two year old. Doing all your “trading” on the computer during naptime is a pretty sweet and stressless alternative. While flipping through sites filled with kiddy goodies as I am wont to do, I spied a toy that brought back a flood of memories, it was none other than my old beloved Fisher Price Chatter Phone. I squealed with delight. Yes, I squealed. The toy, which was introduced in 1962, “was designed with a rotary dial to teach children how to dial a phone”. Excited, I hit Add To Cart, when my husband, who seems to have a sixth sense to when I am about to go on a online shopping spree, pointed out that in our house of cell phones and slim touch tone handsets, she won’t have a clue to what this dialed contraption with the odd handset is. I don’t care that she might just think it’s a creature akin to a Mike Wazowski. I’m gonna get all old school on her and introduce her to my old toy chest. Yes, what’s old is new yet again. $15.
