Thermos Foogo: Strong Like Superman

Posted by Heather Kuldell

Whether you’re afraid of plastics or just like the sleek looks, the Thermos Foogo line can replace the cling wrap, sandwich bags and other plastic containers that currently fill up your kids’ lunchboxes or hold emergency snacks.

The Foogo line offers a 7-ounce sippy cup (with or without handles), a 12-ounce straw bottle or a 10-ounce food jar made of vacuum-insulated stainless steel. The beverage containers keep drinks cool for 6 hours and the food jar is safe to use with cold or hot treats. The leak-proof tops are multi-piece valves (similar to Avent’s) and made of soft, BPA-free plastics. All of it is dishwaser-safe.

Foogo comes in two color combinations: blue and yellow or pink and purple. Even better, there’s not a cartoon character that your kid will stop liking by next year. That matters when you’re springing $15-$19 per container. But, assuming they don’t get lost, they’ll outlast most of your kids’ kitchenware. They are steel, after all.

You can save $5 by purchasing a sippy cup and food jar set for $28.99. The straw bottle will be available mid-May.

Where did you get your release date info for the straw bottle?  I got one for my son late last year - unless it's a new version that they're releasing in May.

I love the straw bottles! We got one last fall for our son (not the Foogo colours, but the same design and still by Thermos) and it worked so well for him. I ordered 4 more online in February - two for him, and two for me. (So they're already available! I've seen them in stores, as well.) I love that they keep his juice fresh and cool, and that I have a refillable container for my water. We also have one of the Foogo food containers, too, which is great for taking homemade meals along for our toddler when we're on the go.

They're not updating for May -- they're just temporarily out of stock.

Am I the only one who's had problems with the foogo sippy leaking?
