Taterpots for Gardeners-in-Training

Posted by Heather Kuldell

Watching daffodils peek out of other people's gardens inspires some serious green-thumb envy. Sadly, I have no yard, so I'm limited to what can thrive near my windows. These potato-shaped pots called Taterpots stand less than three inches tall and feature a sweet, smiling faces. Little gardners can help plant and water an assortment of herbs that take 4 to 8 weeks to grow before they need to be tranferred to a larger pot. You or your assistant can also snip the herbs for cooking, even it's just to garnish grilled cheese.

$12.50 from Brooklyn 5 & 10, available in oregano, basil or mint
