I used to work in a record store. Every now and then a young family would come in to browse. Inevitably one of the parents would grab a vinyl album and present it to their school-aged child and say, “This is called a record. Back in the day, this is what you listened to music on”.  The child’s eyes would widen in awe and amazement. Me, I would just feel very very old.

My kids? They’ll always know what a record is. Now that CDs are on the way of the 8-track tape, records are being embraced by the young, the old, and of course DJs everywhere.
