Tune Out, Turn On with Think-ets

Posted by Sarah Verdone

Think-ets is a small mesh bag of 15 charms (each pack is slightly different) makes for kid-driven, open-ended play. No batteries, no bells and whistles. My 7 year-old likes to play a memory game where she lays out all the pieces – a jingle bell, a tiny broom, a book, a jingle bell, a dolphin, etc. – then takes a few away, and I have to guess which ones are missing. Sounds simple, but I am shockingly bad at this. Kids can also play storytelling games, test their memories, and just fiddle with the little pieces. 10 game ideas included. Of course, you can add your own odds 'n ends to make things even more interesting. Just the thing to take when we embark on a 19-hour plane ride next week. $12.99.
