DigitalLife Expo: Easy Link Internet Launch Pad

Posted by aprilpeveteaux

After spending a day at the Digital Life Expo, I’ve resigned myself to the fact that my daughter will be spending more time on the computer than I ever spent sniffing my Strawberry Shortcake doll. Sigh. So it was a relief to spot a good friend and role model, Elmo, promoting Internet safety with the Fisher-Price Easy Link Internet Launch Pad. Here’s how it works, you plug this device into your USB port, and voilà! Your hard drive and desk top is completely blocked. The only way little miss can do any damage to your computer is if she gets way too excited during ‘Elmo’s Potty Time’.

The Easy Link comes with three characters; Elmo, Dragon Tales and Fisher-Price. But you can buy additional packs of two for $5.99, with such other notable characters as Barney, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Train and more. When you put Elmo into the hot spot, your tot goes to the Sesame Street website, Clifford the Big Red Dog goes to his doghouse online, and so on…They can’t go anywhere else, it’s genius! At least until your four year-old announces that she’s been writing code while you thought she was napping. It’s all yours for $29.99 at Amazon. - April Peveteaux
