Brilliant Invention: LaMa Bra Gives Sweet Relief

Posted by Kelly Mills

I'm not one to jump onto the latest invention, but on this one, I gotta say: all aboard. LaMa Bra is a bra with cold packs you can slip on in to help with those super engorged boobs when weaning or just over-producing in the milk department. I'm not even nursing and my boobs feel better just looking at this. The bra is $29.99, and you can get extra cold packs for $4.99. Smart.

I love this thing.  And have to say I enjoyed sleeping with it more than alot of past partners! Really helped the pain and helped me stop producing milk when I was weaning

I wonder if my breasts would get freezer burn - OUCH. I usually just express my milk in the shower. That seems to work fine..

Good idea though.

How long does engorgement really last? I only was engorged when my milk first came in after the 4th day. Now that Im weaning back my milk supply, I really do not get rock hard like I did way back when. A good hot shower usually does the trick followed with a sensual nipple massage.

When I was weaning and engorged I would go in the shower and express myself a little at a time to ease the pain. Seems a bit barbaric to put ice on yourself. They look like boo boo buddies you can get at bed bath and beyond! boo hoo hoo.

I used the Lama bra at a couple different points, at the begining when I was over producing for our son...and then while I work when I couldn't pump at work but was still feeding in the morngin and at night..i saw the posting on freezing the breast, but the cold packets dont' freeze to solid...it's still flexible even when left in the freezer overnight.  and I do use them now for bo-bos and even to keep my lunch cold..gotta love being a mom and having 10 ways to use anything again :)

I was always told by my OB that I needed to use moist heat and then pump or express the extra milk out to relieve the pressure.. what does the ice do? does it just relieve pain?

once the ice packs warm up and lose the coldness, are your boobs still engorged? I wonder...I wouldnt want to keep replacing the ice packs all day long.. Better to get that milk out!

i had to stop pumping to relieve the engorgement since everytime I pumped I would just get the supply to come in more...so my dr said to use cold  compresses to help constrict the milk producing membranes and slow the production when i was weaning. wish i knew about this bra 4 weeks ago for sure!

I LOVE these things, they fit great in my bra and cover up my huge silver dollar nipples (and I have to admit, they feel better than any other nipple stimulation)

THANK YOU LAMA BRA - you make my nipples smile!

I tried these bras and they felt AMAZING! I have to agree with the previous posts. There is something delicious about cold nipples. My husband now begs me to wear a LaMa Bra before we engage in intercourse. Thanks LaMa Bra! You have fulfilled our fetishes!
