I was also in NYC, in those horrid thunderstorms, thankful I'd left my kids back home! Kudos to you for figuring it all out with kiddo in tow. :)

I was just talking tonight with my husband about how cool it would be to do NY with our six year old boy. I would love to see The Lion King with him, although I don't know what I'd watch more - the play or his face!

That's why I love New York - people think of us as all Times Square and big shiny neon lights and rude, brash people - but take a few steps away from the bright lights, and people here are the best!

I live in NYC and all week while you've been here I've been hoping I'd magically run into you, like when I know that Johnny Depp is in town b/c he's plugging his new movie and I hope I run into him. I was on 14th Street the same day you were! I'm minutes from the public library, and I love Cafe Loup! If you're still here and your feet still hurt, you can come over and borrow some shoes from me!

We took our then-21 month old daughter to NYC last year, and the whole family all had a blast (the ginormousness of Union Station, Bryant Park fountain and carousel, Central Park, Times Square, awesome play lots on every other corner, Washington Square Park, the Lady Liberty Tour), and I cannot wait to take her back again when she's a bit more in-the-know. If we offer her street food along the way, she'd be in heaven!

ha! I love Jackson, and yes, you're right-- NY loves him to.

I grew up in NY, and have taken my kids to visit family a bunch of times. This winter my kids LOVED Times Square- the lights, the crowds, the noise- all of it. I'm sure you are finding that a kid can have a great time pretty much anywhere in nyc.

Clara is eight months old, and for now, I'm still nervous about traveling. (We're heading 7 hours to the beach the end of the month!) But you've made me very excited about our future vacations.
