Band on the Diaper Run

First 2 Shows with June-Blow Outs, and our new Music Video

June joined us for a weekend of shows.

We played at Newbury Comics and Middlebury, VT  (Brett, thanks for the photos)

The show went well, everyone was nice.  Jason met a New Kid on The Block (his little brother was at the store to watch the show and he introduced the NKOTB guy to Jason.)

While eating lunch after the show June had 2 major blow outs-if you are a parent of a baby, you know what I mean when I say blow out.

One of the messes had to be changed in the record store bathroom.  The other, in a McDonalds bathroom.   June has these blow outs all the time-only now we've realized tour blow outs are harder to manage..where do you put the clothes?  BTW, Are we using the wrong size diaper or something?

Anyway, my reality is one that involves sound-checking and then figuring out where to change a diaper.

On to other new things..our video is out now...new song...I'm the huge pregnant fox.  Magnolia makes an appearance.   Here it is:

I have to laugh. I must laugh. Out. Loud. Our then 3 and a 1/2 year old daughter peed on her fathers neck while watching you fine folks play at Amoeba Records in L.A.

I mention this to her every time we listen to you and you yours truly and she says "Rad, I had to pee and I peed on daddy's neck!!!" Well we will as a family, including our 7 year old son and our now 5 year old princess daughter, for all four of us are HUGE fans of the Mates, Death Cab, and the Decemberists, ya!!!!! Anyhoo, will be going to see you and Death Cab For Cutie and The Decemberists this May 24th in Bend, Or. and yes she will be wearing some pull ups we have learned our wet messy stinky lesson.

Look for us in the front row, front row or bust!

By The Way...your new song is haunting beautiful at minimum, with or without the organ. WORD!!!

Kori,

Stellar performance. You were that pregnant fox! I'm way in on this step you guys have taken, Randa and I are looking forward to hearing the rest soon. Especially J's beastly beats on speakers not so tiny.

All my best.

Love,

Josh

Hey mates, met you guys in Japan when u toured there.  Remember me? Im still in Japan if you ever want to come by for a visit.   About the blow-outs...  My brother and his wife have a 3 month old (Her name is Dakota) and I remember my mom saying that they always bring along ziplock bags to put the dirty clothes in!

How smart! I thought.  Always expect the biggest blow out.

My lil girl is 4 months and in my experience we start having lots of blow outs when we need to move up a size. She's already around 16lbs and in size 3! Also you may need to switch brands.. huggies doesnt work for us at all but pampers does!

Kori and Jason,

I know exactly what you are talking about.  I'm a musician in a band (Veteran Status)...not nearly as great as you guys...but we try...haha...Anyways I'm also a parent of 2 children. My son, Christian is almost 4 and my daughter, Summer is almost 2 (both birthdays are in August).  I can definately relate to you with the "blow outs"...we've learned to take some ziploc bags with us when we go out for the clothes...its not pretty when you get home but its really all that can be done.  We don't have the problem so much anymore...but both of my kids went through it...larger diapers aren't always the answer either...if they are too big all you get are blow outs...haha....perhaps a different diet??...just a suggestion..anyways...

My daughter and I just love your music...her favorite song is "HAHA"...she loves to dance with daddy to it...

Come back to Pittsburgh soon...we'd love to catch a show.
