I love the chaos and mayhem here too with our 17 month old twin boys. 'Uh oh' is one son's favourite word ... as he tosses yet another thing. Our house resembles yours - I love the descriptions and photos. We have a dumptruck load of baby gear and toys .. wait till after Christmas and their first birthday.

Big Red Barn is Coby's go-to-sleep book... we read it 3x/day (at least!) Thank goodness it's well-written. :)

Man - I hear ya. Our house is pretty great - wood, glass, stone, framed artwork from our African travels...and oh ya a TON of toddler stuff. What are ya gonna do? It's a home not a musuem. BTW - that last pic of the girls in costume - I CANNOT STAND the cuteness!

I was like you with my space too. I grew up in a 2 bedroom house with 5 sisters and a mom who believed why clean up when it will just be a mess again in 5 minutes--so, yeah, I have some issues with being neat and clean. But it's so funny how I don't care that there's a tent in my family room or baby junk scattered all over the house now. In fact, I love it becasue it makes the place feel lived in and alive (which is enhanced by some toys going off by themselves in teh middle of the night--beware the bouncing zebra!). I never hear the end of it from my friends and family who remember my previous lifestyle though!

Nancyt -- thank you!! I can't believe I caught the box on camera mid fall like that. It was like it just hovered there, waiting... And that's Elsa doing the damage. She's totally the troublemaker at this point.

Oh, yes. As I sit here, I'm staring at a ridiculous assortment of large, molded plastic. Exersaucers, jumperoos, play houses, pianos, shape sorters... and it's not even Christmas yet. I just had to give in and let them take over... they are my sanity-savers!

The Yahtzee box MID-FALL is awesome. Awe. Some. Not sure if it's Clio or Elsa (Cliels? Elso?) who's got the "I didn't do it!" face, but she's got it down. Keep an eye on that one. And the becostumed creatures with "Big Red Barn" are totally priceless. But the best thing is that someone else has a house as cluttered as mine. Yuuss!
